The NBA's free agent moratorium was lifted on July 6, which made all players signing free agent contracts official members of their new teams. One of the more notable free agent acquisitions was Kyrie Irving's decision to play for the Brooklyn Nets. Irving, a New Jersey native, grew up watching the Nets and dreamt of one day playing for the organization. This summer presented such an opportunity and alongside Kevin Durant, Irving is now part of another dynamic duo in league's new tandem-driven landscape.

Kyrie's decision didn't come as much of a surprise to many around the league and was all but cemented after he changed his representation over to Roc Nation. During his signing back home in New Jersey, Kyrie was accompanied by JAY-Z and reps from Roc Nation.
