Update 06/25/2019 10:46am:

Back in September, former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested and hit with 11 charges for the alleged rape of an unidentified 28-year-old woman, following numerous other run-ins with the law after he was released by the Cowboys in 2015.

Though Randle said at his last hearing date on February 12 that he did not rape his accuser as the alleged victim "never said no," it's now being reported that his case has been put on hold as a Kansas court looks to determine if he's mentally well enough to be tried.

The attorneys for Randle have argued that along with being previously incarcerated he had also been in and out of mental health facilities for the past few years, noting that he's currently not in the right state of mind to defend himself.

Additionally, Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett has confirmed that for the time being his case has been put on hold, adding that if Randle doesn't pass a mental health evaluation he'll be placed in a state mental institution until he can "regain competency."

As for Randle's three-year NFL career, as a backup to DeMarco Murray he never rushed for more than 350 yards in a season for the Cowboys, while prior to that he was a star at Oklahoma State University.
