Although there were a few moving tributes throughout this year's BET Awards, including segments honored to the Exonerated Central Park Five as well as the late Nipsey Hussle, it appears that the time spent on John Singleton's passing wasn't enough for his ex-girlfriend and mother of two of his children.

"So BET can take the time to honor Nipsey Hussle and not John Singleton?, Tosha Lewis wrote on social media after the awards, "Their whole movie line up is John Singleton movies. His movies are in the BET commercial. They never featured anything Nipsey, but I guess he's trendy nevermind John was talking and doing the same stuff as Nipsey since the 90s.

From there, fans pointed out that BET actually did have a tribute for Singleton that was led by Morris Chestnut and "Snowfall" star Damson Idris, though as a reply Lewis noted that it wasn't enough compared to Nipsey's.

All the same, Singleton's mother, Sheila Ward, has told TMZ that her son's ex does not speak for the family, which is only the latest disagreement amid a slew of legal battles since Singleton's passing last month, including a restraining order filed, a battle over his estate, and the hiring of a private investigator over suspicions surrounding his death.
