Update 06/18/2019 8:27pm:

According to TMZ, the L.A. District Attorney has dropped the gun case against Young Thug due to lack of evidence and the case is now closed.

Last August, Young Thug was arrested at the release party for his Slime Language album, which was also on his 27th birthday, after a fender bender with a police car that was unable to stop in time before hitting Young Thug's Rolls Royce. During a search of Young Thug's car, a gun was found in the trunk. Investigators were unable to find any DNA on the weapons and because there were three people in the car, they were unable to link it to anyone.

Young Thug's lawyer, Michael Goldstein, responded to the news, telling TMZ, "I commend the District Attorney's Office for making the right decision after carefully reviewing the facts and body worn video over the past 9 months. The fact so much time and work went into this decision reinforces trust in our system of justice."
