Warriors guard Klay Thompson was the latest Golden State player to go down with a serious injury as he tore his ACL with 2:22 left in the third quarter. The Warriors have a long road ahead of them as they head into next season. An MRI confirmed Klay suffered an ACL tear according to the Warriors PR via Twitter.

Klay showed a lot of grit after suffering the injury by remaining in the game to shoot two free-throws, invoking Kobe Bryant who sank both free-throws immediately after tearing his Achilles tendon.

Considering the Warriors are able to retain both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, both of whom can become unrestricted free agents by month's end, Golden State will have a difficult time staying in playoff contention with Thompson likely out until February or March and Durant likely to miss the entire 2019-20 season.
