Video of a woman being approached by an Old Navy employee at a shopping mall in Mississauga, Canada, went viral.
The woman, Lisa Calderon, claims that she felt like she was being profiled by employees after she tried on some clothes in the store. After a brief confrontation, Calderon decided to leave the store. However, she was followed out by an employee that accused her of stealing a shirt that she wore into the store.
The employee, who was identified as Stephanie, held onto Calderon's arm in an attempt to make a citizens arrest. Stephanie let go of Calderon after being ordered to by a security officer. A store manager apologized to Calderon and told her that a district manager would be in touch with her.
Calderon gave an update on social media, revealing that she was told that Stephanie had been fired from her position at Old Navy following the ordeal.
