Although the Golden State Warriors stayed alive thanks to the late game heroics of the Splash Brothers, much of the talk behind their Game 5 victory revolved around the devastating injury to Kevin Durant.

Making his return to the court in over a month after being sidelined with a calf injury, Durant was playing well until he suffered what appears to be a ruptured Achilles tendon in the second quarter, leading to an emotional exit from the series that even impacted the Raptor's biggest fan.

As Durant was consoled by his teammates immediately after the severity of the moment was realized by all 20,000+ spectators in the arena, the global ambassador himself showed clear frustration as the perennial superstar was helped off the court, taking a moment to put what he means to the game all in perspective.

"Was tough for any of us to even enjoy that game tonight after seeing this transpire," Drake later said on IG, "Praying for our brother. That’s my only concern tonight is your well being. 'The game needs me' is an understatement when it comes to 35. Please wish the best for this true warrior. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ"

Meanwhile, it should be noted that Drake actually has tattoos on his left bicep dedicated to both Durant and Steph Curry, therefore it should be no surprise that the 6 God holds the utmost respect for the defending champs that he looks to dethrone.
