According to reports, class action lawsuit surfaced against Apple from customers who say the company sold their information from iTunes to third parties. The customers in the lawsuit filed the suit in California on May 24.

According to the lawsuit, three iTunes users from Rhode Island went after the company, saying Apple was mining and selling their data to third-party companies despite running a pro-consumer campaign that said “What happens on your iPhone stays on your iPhone.”

The lawsuit also said “The data Apple discloses includes the full names and home addresses of its customers, together with the genres and, in some cases, the specific titles of digitally-recorded music that its customers have purchased via the iTunes Store and then stored in their devices.” Apple has yet to respond.
