JAY-Z and Roc Nation are being sued by a former boxer on their sports lineup who is blaming the company for the brain damage he accumulated while being a pro-fighter. The suit claims that Hov and Roc Nation showed negligence because they forced him to fight when they were aware that he wasn't ready.

The suit hinges upon a March 2017 bout that Daniel Franco says he was underprepared for after dealing with the flu. He claims he was unable to train properly for the fight and expressed that the fight needed to be postponed. However, he was told to go on with the fight as scheduled where he would lose by TKO.

Franco says he wasn't given medical clearance to fight in the two following bouts in 2017 either, once in May and again in June. During the last fight, Franco was knocked out in the 8th round and claims he suffered “a devastating brain hemorrhage.”

He is suing JAY-Z and Roc Nation for personal negligence and unspecified damages.
