Viewers were stunned after it was announced that the New Orleans Pelicans landed the No. 1 overall pick at 2019 NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday (May 14). Many are certain that standout Duke star Zion Williamson will be the number one pick in next month's draft.

This is the first time since 2012 that the Pelicans have landed the number one pick, which is when they drafted Anthony Davis, who is maintaining that he wants to be traded. New president of basketball operations David Griffin has pushed back on the notion, stating last month, "We have a long, successful history with Klutch Sports. Rich Paul and I have spoke about Anthony. We are both excited about what we could potentially build here."
