Before his tragic death, Nipsey Hussle was working on a coalition with his business partner David Gross called "Our Opportunity." Gross explained the mission for the coalition on Instagram on Monday (May 6).
He wrote, "We were raising an Opportunity Fund comprised of our friends, peers and professional network. We created OurOpportunity to be a resource to investors who aren’t in our fund, and for people raising Opportunity Funds of their own. The mission is to create and spread a structured version of the 'buy back the block' and “all money in” concepts. We were working to provide a corporate framework, practical education and implementable set of tools for people from, and connected to, inner cities to use to invest in our communities. "
Gross added, "It’s still happening. There’s still $100 million on Nip’s schedule, word to Jay. His grandkids and their kids are straight due to his vision, genius and ambition."
This week, David Gross shared a behind-the-scenes look at Nipsey filming a video for Our Opportunity alongside Gross and Nipsey's daughter, Emani. He captioned the video, "Hussle was all heart."
