Lifetime is planning to air a new special and a follow-up to the R. Kelly docuseries, which will be titled, Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact

The two-hour special will be hosted by famed journalist Soledad O’Brien, and it will focus on the global and cultural impact of the docuseries through interviews with journalists, legal experts, non-profit organizations, and psychologists. In the time since the docuseries aired, Kelly was dropped from his label and arrested and charged with 10 felony counts of aggravated sexual assault, involving four victims, spanning 10 years. The docuseries showrunner dream hampton was also named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.
