The pastor at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church in Tennessee was killed by his alleged mistress after she went to the home of Pastor Brodes Perry and shot him and his wife. According to Perry's wife, the woman, Latoshia Daniels, entered the Perrys' home and stayed for what seemed like a normal visit. As Daniels was heading out, Perry's wife says Daniels turned around and screamed: “You broke my heart!” Daniels subsequently shot Pastor Perry and his wife.
Pastor Perry later died at the hospital from his wounds. His wife was shot but her injuries were non-life threatening. Latoshia Daniels has been formally charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police assault and resisting arrest.
