According to reports, a 35-year-old man named Nick Memmo was arrested for larceny and misleading police after he allegedly kept an 86-inch TV from Amazon that was sent to him by mistake.
The man originally ordered a 76-inch TV, but was sent the 86-inch model instead. Memmo noted that he looked into the laws on the situation, and also said Amazon noted he had no reason to worry. Memmo told the news “You know, it’s a scratch ticket. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.”
However, the shipping company said they attempted to contact Memmo many times before they went to police. Law enforcement officials are saying the man “obtained goods under false pretenses.”
