Cesar Sayoc who is an avid Trump supporter made headlines after mailing pipe bombs to some of the president's opponents such as President Barack Obama, and news outlets like CNN. Sayoc pleaded guilty to 65 felonies on Thursday in a Manhattan federal court with 16 of those charges of using a weapon of mass destruction. He also pled guilty to interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of explosives with intent to kill or injure another and carrying an explosive during the commission of a felony. 

Sayoc is scheduled to be sentenced in September. 


Update 10/26/2018: Native American Trump supporter Ceasar Sayoc was named as the pipe bomb mailer suspect that was arrested in Florida today. Sayoc lives in Fort Lauderdale but was arrested in Plantation, a suburb of Miami.

Sayoc made previous threats to local judges and was flagged as a suspect in the case. A van linked to Sayoc has also emerged, showing heavy anti-Hillary stickers and pro-Trump stickers plastered all over its surface.

According to authorities, police were led to Sayoc by his DNA and phone records.

Update 10/26/2018: The Feds arrested a Florida man on Friday (October 26) in connection with the pipe bomb packages sent to the Obamas, the Clintons, Joe Biden, Robert De Niro, and CNN. The most recent device was intercepted en route to New Jersey Senator Corey Booker on Friday.

The man's identity has not been revealed, but he's believed to be in his 50s. A press conference with more details will be conducted on Friday afternoon.

Similar pipe bomb packages that were en route to the Clintons and the Obamas yesterday (October 24), were intercepted in Delaware and New York on Thursday after they were sent to former Vice President Joe Biden and Robert De Niro.

The package sent to Biden was found at a postal facility in New Castle, Delaware, while the package sent to De Niro's Manhattan office was called in by a building worker who was worried about a suspicious package that arrived days earlier.
