With Spring and Summer around the corner, there will be plenty of hoopers looking for their next pair of sneakers, and those who are nostalgic will be glad to know that Gary Payton's signature shoe will be re-released next month.

Back in 1999, the NBA legend known as The Glove released the Nike Zoom GP, his first official signature sneaker after being associated with the Zoom Flight ’98 and the Zoom Hawk Flight respectively. Now 20 years later, the Nike Zoom GP will be re-released in the same black/white colorway designed by Eric Avar, the Vice President of Design Innovation for Nike who's also responsible for Kobe Bryant's signature models.

To ensure maximum support the sneakers have adjustable strap closures that are most commonly seen on ski boots, while the asymmetrical lace cover features a bold Swoosh. Meanwhile, the shoe also boasts a generous dose of Zoom Air for cushioning, which allows players to employ the same lockdown defense that The Glove was known for.

With that said, at the moment there is no price listed for the Nike Zoom GP, though they will be available April 20th at Nike retailers across North America.
