On a night that saw his former team pay tribute to his time in Boston, Denver Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas reflected on his time in Bean Town and apparently had high hopes for his Celtics. Thomas told the media after the game, "Yeah, we would have probably won a championship already," after his Nuggets dispatched of the Celtics 114-105.

Thomas even wore a custom pair of Kobe signature sneakers in Monday's matchup that paid tribute to the Celtics with the green and gold colorway. He revealed to reporters that he planned on wearing those kicks in the NBA Finals his last year in Boston but eventually loss to the Cavaliers led by one LeBron James.

It's tough to say that Boston would've won a championship with IT or that their championship aspirations are greatly diminished by his absence. Nevertheless, Thomas had a great run with the Celtics and clearly left an indelible mark on the fans of Boston.
