Back in July of 2018, former NFL player and Super Bowl champion, Barry Cofield, was arrested in Seminole County, Florida after an alleged police chase, where he was subsequently booked on charges of heroin possession, assaulting an officer, DUI, resisting arrest and fleeing from police. Cofield ultimately reached a plea deal that appears to have kept him from behind bars, while now footage of the arrest has been released illustrating the conclusion of the chaotic scene.

"Get out of the car!" one officer screamed during the arrest, "Get out of the car now! Get out of the car! Get out of the car or we'll shoot! Get out of the car now!" Moments later, Cofield can be seen exiting the vehicle while being handcuffed as he laid face down, where an officer finds a bag of drugs in his pocket that he believes to be LSD or cocaine. Based on the arrest report, it was later revealed to be heroin.

Meanwhile, what's not seen on camera is the events that led cops to investigate Cofield's vehicle, which police reported was stopped on an off-ramp around 2:30 a.m. with Cofield "passed out" in the driver's seat.

According to reports, Cofield then awoke after several minutes but decided to drive away instead of putting his car in park as instructed by officers. From there, he reportedly swerved between lanes and side-swiped a vehicle at an intersection, prior to being blocked by a second police car that ended the chase.

Ultimately, as previously mentioned, the former defensive lineman for the NY Giants reportedly reached a plea with prosecutors last week, in a deal that will likely spare him from jail time despite the number of serious charges.
