Last week, Gayle King landed two explosive interviews with R. Kelly's live-in girlfriends as well as the singer himself, and now the CBS This Morning co-host has given her platform to the parents of Azriel Clary, one of the aforementioned young women that were previously described as R. Kelly's "hostages."

Within the interview, Alice and Angelo Clary told King that they think their 21-year-old daughter fooled them from the beginning of her relationship with Kelly, whom she originally met in 2015. During that time, they had decided to let Azriel go on tour with Kelly when she was 17, hoping that the opportunity would help her career as an aspiring singer. Now years later, Azriel hasn't communicated with her parents at all, thus leaving the couple to believe that their daughter's been brainwashed.

“I feel like I failed my daughter because I should have saw different signs,” her father says during the interview, “I should have saw the change in my baby girl instead of the love that we instilled in her, that she was showing us and putting on a charade. So guess what? We can take responsibility. But to the world, how much responsibility did R. Kelly take?”

Later on in the interview, the parents say that Azriel had been suicidal in the past, having found her submerged in water before taking her to the hospital. They mentioned that incident due to a rumor they heard that Kelly had the girls involved in a potential suicide pact.

"He's the problem," Angelo Clary said about Kelly, "He doesn't have a sickness, he made a choice."
