According to TMZ, Jussie Smollett's role in the show Empire will be reduced as a result of the attack scandal Smollett is currently dealing with. The production sources tell TMZ that Jussie had 5 of the 9 scenes he was supposed to appear effectively cut as well as a musical number that was queued up that has since been cut.
The reduced workload has also meant that Smollett has been spending far less time on set. Instead of the usual full work week, sources say Jussie is now only scheduled to show up on Thursdays and Fridays as writers figure out how to rework the show's storyline amid the controversy.
