Following news that Netflix would be canceling Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, the streaming service has now announced that they're also not renewing Marvel's The Punisher and Jessica Jones.

“Marvel’s The Punisher will not return for a third season on Netflix,” Netflix confirmed in a statement to Deadline, while adding that "in reviewing our Marvel programming, we have decided that the upcoming third season will also be the final season for Marvel’s Jessica Jones

While The Punisher will end it's run after two seasons, the third season of Jessica Jones will be released later this year, which upon its finale will mark the final collaboration between Marvel and Netflix. 

“We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership," Netflix said in a statement, "and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning.” Jon Bernthal, who plays the main character on The Punisher wrote to his fans upon the news of the cancellation, “To all who have served. All who know loss. All who love and understand Frank and his pain. It has been an honor to walk in his boots."

Meanwhile, new exclusive Marvel titles will soon be seen on Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney+, later this year, with titles reportedly revolving around The Vision and Scarlet Witch, Bucky and Falcon, and Loki.
