According to a report, an NYPD officer is now under investigation for allegedly telling other police officers to shoot 50 Cent on sight.

Police sources said a Commanding Officer named Emanuel Gonzalez said those words during a roll call that took place last June at the 72nd Precinct. The comment was reportedly sparked by 50 Cent’s pending attendance to an NYPD boxing match. Gonzalez allegedly said, “Shoot him on sight.”

50 Cent and Gonzalez have a history with each other, as the two bumped heads when 50 said Gonzalez was shaking down an owner of the one the popular clubs 50 frequents in New York. Gonzalez claims his “shoot him on sight” comment was a joke, but 50 and his legal team have honed in on the commanding officer.

A representative for the rapper said “Mr. Jackson takes this threat very seriously and is consulting with his legal counsel regarding his options going forward. He is concerned that he was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD and even more concerned that Gonzalez continues to carry a badge and a gun."
