According to reports, a Jamaican reportedly tried to scam a 94-year-old man who he did not know was a former FBI chief and CIA head during the Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan administrations.

A man named Keniel Thomas was convicted for trying to scam William Webster and his wife, Lynda Webster. During one of the calls made by Thomas to Webster, he said the man needed to pay $50,000 to cover his taxes. The couple refused to pay him which led Thomas to threaten to kill the couple with a sniper’s bullet.

From there, Webster contacted the FBI, who monitored the couple’s calls and found the identity of the caller. Keniel Thomas pled guilty to interstate communication with the intent to extort. He was convicted and sentenced to 71 months in jail. After being released, Thomas will reportedly be deported back to Jamaica.
