It appears that the legal strategy employed by JAY-Z and Roc Nation has worked as planned, at least for the time being, as 21 Savage has reportedly been released on bond pending a hearing on his potential deportation. TMZ reports that his lawyers, Charles H. Kuck, Dina LaPolt and Alex Spiro have released a statement on 21 Savage's behalf, thanking all of his fans who have advocated for his release since his incarceration on Super Bowl Sunday.

"21 Savage asked us to send a special message to his fans and supporters," his lawyers said in the statement, "he says that while he wasn't present at the Grammy Awards, he was there in spirit and is grateful for the support from around the world and is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together."

Additionally, the statement concluded with a political message as well, as his lawyers said: "He will not forget this ordeal or any of the other fathers, sons, family members, and faceless people, he was locked up with or that remain unjustly incarcerated across the country. And he asks for your hearts and minds to be with them."

Meanwhile, his attorneys say he was granted an expedited hearing, while it remains unclear why ICE held him as long as they did, in consideration that he was neither a flight risk or a danger to his community. For that reason, normal procedures would reportedly have let him post bond the day he was arrested.

All the same, the hip-hop community will certainly be rejoicing over the release of 21 Savage, as he awaits his deportation hearing that at the moment doesn't seem to have a date on public record.
