Update 02/11/2019:

When Tory Lanez called himself the best rapper alive and took aim at a few notable legends in the genre, other artists naturally thought that the confidant emcee was willing to take on all competitors. For that reason, another rising star from Canada decided to make a "diss record" at Tory in the spirit of good competition, though it became clear that the LoVE me NOw? artist didn't appreciate the gesture at all.

Following the release of Dax's record, "I'm Not Joyner or Don Q," Lanez apparently caught up to the young emcee and made him apologize on camera, although it's still unclear what happened before the camera started rolling. Nonetheless, Dax decided to abide by Tory's demands and apologize for the record, and now he's taken to his IG story to explain his decision.

"I have no anger or animosity towards anyone," Dax said to lead off the lengthy post, "Anger is a wasted emotion. I did what I had to do for my family and while some people on social media may not praise me for it, my family and those who love me do." He then added that "I will teach my son to do the same thing I did in that situation and take the temporary L because I'd rather him come home safe and I'm hoping anyone reading this will teach their son the same thing."

He concluded his post by saying "this situation will not only strengthen the rap game but society as a whole. If I can put my pride aside. SO CAN YOU. #legendary." He then added another post that read: "Don't get mad, get motivated," while it's since been reported that his streams have doubled since his exchange with Tory Lanez.
