During the 61st Grammy Awards, Cardi B made history by becoming the first solo female act to win an award for Best Rap album.
Cardi beat out albums like Nipsey Hussle’s ‘Victory Lap,’ Mac Miller’s ‘Swimming,’ Travis Scott’s ‘ASTROWORLD,’ and Pusha T’s ‘DAYTONA.’
In a video that she posted after accepting the award and leaving the stage, Cardi said “I read an article that Mac Miller’s family said that if he don’t win, they wanted me to win, so I’m sharing this Grammy with you, motherfucker! Rest in peace!”
