Add Soulja Boy to the lineup of artists currently boycotting Gucci after one of their new items resembled blackface. Soulja hopped on IG to let his followers know "Gucci is canceled until further notice." He said he's "appalled" behind the fashion house's racial insensitivity.
T.I. recently commented on the controversy, saying that Gucci's issued apology is not accepted. Prior to this matter about blackface, Swae Lee issued a cancellation of Gucci back in late 2018 going on IG and telling his fellow artists:
“Rappers, we need to stop wearing Gucci, man. They do not f*ck with rappers. All the rappers, we make that sh*t poppin. We need to stop wearing Gucci today man, do not wear no more Gucci. No more Gucci. Start the campaign, start the wave. I’m serious. No Gucci campaign. We gotta understand our reach.”
