The Los Angeles Lakers suffered one of the franchise's worst losses in team history after losing by 42 to the Victor Oladipo-less Indiana Pacers. Things looked a bit shaky against the Celtics in Rajon Rondo's return to the TD Garden as a member of the Lakers. After LA mounted a comeback, Brandon Ingram missed the go-ahead layup at the end of the game but the loose ball caromed to Rondo who sank the walk-off midrange jumper.

Rondo's bucket gave the Lakers a much-needed win and capped off a LeBron James triple-double as the team attempts to make a push for the playoffs after missing out on trading for Anthony Davis.
