J. Cole was announced as the headliner for this year's NBA All-Star game, which will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 17. Cole himself is from Fayetteville, North Carolina, about three hours away.
Other performers announced are Meek Mill, who will open the night with an introduction of the All-Star teams. Charlotte native Anthony Hamilton will be singing the U.S. national anthem, while pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen will be singing the Canadian national anthem.
LeBron James was named captain for the West at the 2019 games, while Giannis Antetokounmpo will be leading the East.
