To commemorate their legacy as hip-hop royalty, the Wu-Tang Clan is set to have a new documentary in their honor get some much-deserved mainstream exposure. The four-part documentary series entitled "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men" is produced by Mass Appeal and directed by Sacha Jenkins, who interviewed all nine living members of the iconic hip hop collective.
The first two episodes will premiere this month at the annual Sundance Film Festival, while the docuseries will air in its entirety on Showtime later this Spring. That's not the only exciting news of the year for Shaolin's finest, however, as the following month Wu-Tang is set to join Public Enemy and De La Soul on a UK tour that kicks off in May.
It should also be noted that a prior Wu-Tang documentary was released last November entitled "For The Children: 25 Years of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," which coincided with the 25th anniversary of their classic debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
