Dave Chappelle famously parodied R. Kelly's hit single "Ignition (Remix)" on his Comedy Central sketch show, The Chappelle Show. The skit became an instant hit with viewers and remains one of the funniest takes on R. Kelly's sexual deviancy. During a recent standup spot, Chappelle revealed to the audience that R. Kelly and his entourage approached him in Chicago and expressed how they weren't feeling his skit. Fortunately, things didn't escalate.
Dave also used his time on stage to implore other comedians to continue calling out things that are wrong in this world as well as addressing some criticism that has come his way in wake of the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.
