Update 01/11/2019:

Previously, Teairra Mari filed a revenge porn lawsuit against 50 Cent. However, a judge dismissed the claims against 50. Along with that, the judge ruled that Teairra Mari has to pay back $30,000 for the rapper’s legal bill.

Originally, 50 Cent asked for the total amount of lawyer fees to be paid, which came out to $161,660. However, the judge did not grant the full amount.

Original 05/17/2018:

R&B singer and Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Teairra Mari had sexually explicit footage of herself leaked online last week. The footage, which shows Mari in the act of oral sex, circulated online like wildfire. Addressing the leaked sex tape, Mari took to Twitter and wrote, “Recently, my social media was compromised by someone who I felt was deserving of my love and trust. I recognize the need to be more cautious and discerning. My hope is for women to remain strong and dignified when they find themselves having to address hateful and juvenile acts by former lovers who find it difficult to act in an adult manner.”

50 Cent, never one to miss an opportunity to troll someone, decided to repost a picture from the sex tape on his Instagram. The social media site deleted his post, sending 50 into an uproar about being censored. He threatened to leave the site and has been using his Twitter instead ever since his post was deleted.

Attorney Lisa Bloom, who specializes in cases of revenge porn and sexual misconduct, tweeted a press release this week which states that she will be representing Mari, and will be taking legal action against both the singer's ex, Akbar Abdul Ahad, and 50 Cent for sharing the sex tape. A press conference detailing the specifics of the lawsuit will be held today.
