Last evening (Jan 8) Donald Trump addressed the nation on a number of important issues, while gamblers were simultaneously listening for the number of lies the President would tell within the eight-minute speech. It's been reported that the betting website BookMaker.eu offered users the chance to bet on how many lies Trump would tell, using The Washington Post's fact-checking live blog as the overall judge. The over/under was set at 3 1/2, and it's been reported that the fact-checkers recorded six statements from the President that could be qualified as lies. For those numbers, the website is set to pay out $276,424 to the winning gamblers.
