By now just about everyone in pop culture has weighed in on the explosive docuseries 'Surviving R Kelly,' yet now one of the series' participants is catching backlash for controversial takes he made on the subject many years before. Although Charlamagne appears in the broadcast in support of R Kelly's alleged victims, many people were quick to point out not only the radio personalities own reported indiscretions involving women, but his own contradictory tweets on Kelly himself.
Sure enough, as the saying goes 'there's a tweet for everything,' and if you're a celebrity it's common knowledge that old tweets can come back to haunt you. That is the case here with Charlamagne, whose tweets from 2009 and 2010 have now brought him under great scrutiny. Among a handful of those tweets, the shock jock proclaimed that "R Kelly had the best celebrity sex tape of all time," and for a litany of reasons people are questioning why he was interviewed for the docuseries at all.
