Kawhi Leonard is persona-non-grata in San Antonio these days after forcing his way out via trade this past summer. Thursday night was Leonard's first game in San Antonio as a visitor and was welcomed with a cascade of boos nearly every time he touched the ball, and weathered a "traitor" chant from the fans as well.
But the bad blood fans have for Kawhi had seemingly spilled over into the stands as Kawhi's mom was caught going back and forth with a Spurs fan with her fair share of expletives tossed in there too. Although Kawhi's mother got the best of the Spurs fan, her son's return was spoiled by DeMar DeRozan who posted his first career triple-double in a game controlled by San Antonio from the outset.
