With 2018 in the books, one of the most memorable moments of the year was definitely the Pusha T and Drake feud. After throwing subliminal shots at one another over the years, things finally boiled over when Push recorded "Infrared" off his 7-track album DAYTONA.

In a recent interview with Variety, Pusha T spoke about the beef with Drake and offered insight into his mindset during the ordeal. "It was always going to be, always going to happen. I was always going to get off. “Infrared” had to happen. We were doing the back-and-forth. He had “Two birds, one stone.” This is what rap is."

Pusha also explained that he expected the battle to continue. "I thought this was going to be a running thing, back-and-forth. I was sure he’d have a rebuttal," Push said. Adding, "I only deal in truth, how I see things. When you’re dealing with words, it’s a way of dealing with truth and how the public process that, how they interpret that."
