Commuters on a New Jersey highway had their trip paid for if they were willing to hop out of their cars to collect it. On Route 3 in East Rutherford, NJ, a Brinks truck carrying loads of cash spilled dollar bills onto the highway as drivers jumped out of their vehicles to scrape up as much cash as possible. The rear door on the truck malfunctioned which led to the cash-spill.

However, everyone wasn't out there for themselves. According to reports, some even got out there in the aid of the Brinks truck security. "One good Samaritan had scooped up some money and handed it back to the security guard," said East Rutherford Police Capt. Phillip Taormina.

Brinks issued the following statement: “We confirm that one of our trucks was involved in an incident on Route 3 in East Rutherford this morning. The incident is under investigation and we have no additional comment at this time.”
