Never a stranger to controversy, DJ Akademiks has taken to the airwaves again to throw shots at Vic Mensa and Ebro of Hot 97.

"Vic Mensa is fu***** garbage," Akademiks says out the gate, "you're not poppin' in the streets, I don't care what Roc Nation signed you for... I see you tried to change your image, you ditched the eye-liner, you ditched the biker jacket, you ditched the hoop earrings... but no matter what you try it doesn't work for you."

Akademiks then clowns Vic Mensa for his latest music releases, suggesting that he's confused about what his image and brand should be, going as far as to say he's trying to make "Controlla" records two years too late without the style to match it. He then played Mensa's latest effort, in which the Chicago artist appears to be emulating Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Throughout his monologue, the YouTube creator also directs his vitriol towards Ebro, who recently interviewed Mensa and continuously asked about his rift with Akademiks. Ebro's "a sucker in a lot of ways," Akademiks explained, "Ebro you're a real sucker for how you tried to conduct that interview, Vic Mensa who is scum already wasn't even trying to say anything about people... yet you mention me three times in the interview. Ebro you're fu***** desperate."

Meanwhile, fresh off Hot 97's viral moment with Kodak Black, Akademiks felt compelled to point out Ebro's selective outrage. "We don't respect the hypocrisy that's going on with none of yall. Anybody's who going to call out X, anyone who's going to try to make a moment with Kodak, if you in you're own backyard and didn't try to make a moment with Fabolous, you're not a real person, [and are] just trying to pick on the young n*****."

Akademiks finished his thoughts by telling Ebro, "There's a reason why you're out here competing with a YouTube channel, and it's because you guys failed to compete on the radio. You guys are really garbage. I'm glad that - what's his name? - Rosenberg, yeah, keep your mouth closed on that because you're trash too. I'm better than your whole show."
