Kevin Hart recently stepped down from hosting duties at the Oscars, and now reports are allegedly saying the Academy is considering putting on the show without a host.

According to two insiders who spoke to Variety, the Academy of Motion Pictures was caught off-guard by Hart’s abrupt departure. As a result, the Oscars will hold a meeting with the Board of Governors to discuss possible options moving forward for the event.

One of the insiders told Variety that one option being taken into consideration is to have “a bunch of huge celebs, something ‘SNL’ style, and buzzy people” take on the hosting duties, which means there will be no one set host.
