Kevin Hart has been mired in controversy over his decision to delete anti-gay tweets from as far back as 2009 soon after being named as the host of the 2019 Oscars. After being called out for the tweets, many were calling for Hart to apologize for his comments - something he'd already done in the past. The comedian refused to apologize and subsequently stepped down as host for the upcoming ceremony.

While a number people are criticizing Kevin Hart for both his remarks and refusal to apologize for them, other comedians are backing his decision. D.L. Hughley hopped on Instagram to share his thoughts on the matter, saying "f*** 'em if they can't take a joke," and that Kevin's decision was "well played."
