After appearing to have fled to Bali to delay prosecution, it seems as if Russell Simmons is finding out you can't run away from your problems.

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that the case against the music mogul is ready to be heard in court, despite Simmons request to have the charges dismissed. Simmons has denied the rape allegations and has argued that the statute of limitations should be applied in the case, yet the judge has ruled that the claims of "forcible rape, intentional affliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress" are not contingent upon the dates they occurred.

When the accusations began to spread late last year, Simmons stepped down from all his leadership positions and began to sell off his assets in New York and Los Angeles, while claiming that his accusers were lying for "purposes of publicity."

The next hearing has been set for next month, and Simmons has 20 days to respond to these latest developments.
