Original 12/05/2018:
It appears as if the phenomenon of self-snitching has reached a boiling point in California, as Vallejo police are investigating the video posted online that shows Messy Marv brandishing a gun while making threats in broad daylight around children.
It's been reported that the San Francisco rapper was looking for an artist from the Vallejo area known as J-Diggs, and while driving through a neighborhood known as "The Crest," Messy Marv let the whole block know he was ready for armed conflict.
In fact, thanks to his friend's recording, the entire world has been able to witness the violent threats. "Tell J-Diggs I came through here," Messy Marv shouts outside his vehicle, while also mentioning his own name to ensure everyone knew his involvement. What came next was a hostile back-and-forth between Messy Marv and a local resident, who tried to de-escalate the situation by pointing out his children were sitting down on the sidewalk in plain view.
Following that exchange, Messy Marv and the cameraman drove off without firing any shots, though the threats from the video alone have sparked the interest of local law enforcement. The news of the investigation comes only days after Messy Marv reportedly signed to Mozzy Records, a collaboration that has garnered a lot of attention throughout the Bay Area.
