By now we've all heard of catfishing on the internet, but what about the recent phenomenon of "blackfishing?" The latest epidemic involves Instagram models altering their looks to present themselves with black features, going as far as to modify their lips, hair style, and skin color to capitalize on the latest beauty trends for potential endorsements.

One young lady at the center of the controversy is Emma Halberg, a Swedish model who insists that she's "never claimed to be black or biracial or anything else than white." She went on by saying "I cannot change the way I was born because the things I've been accused of, and the things people are mad about are natural on me, like my hair, lips, nose, and face."

Nonetheless, the influencer is facing a ton of backlash as recent before-and-after photos suggest that her looks are indeed anything but as natural as she claims.

Take a look at the photos above to make your own conclusions.
