Vic Mensa stirred up quite the controversy when word got out that he dissed XXXTentacion during his BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher freestyle. The diss became such an issue that Vic had to apologize to X's mother who was in attendance. However, Vic Mensa didn't retract his diss and explained how he's not looking to glorify any person associated with domestic or sexual violence against women.
The lyrics that caused the controversy are as follow:
"Your favorite rapper is domestic abuser.... Name a single Vic Mensa song, XXX we all know you won't live that long. I don't respect n***** posthumously, homicide ain't new to me, catch up with Akademiks at your eulogy."
