Steven Seagal was very brief with BBC Newsnight after a question was raised regarding the sexual assault allegations he has been hit with. BBC host Kirsty Wark asked Seagal about the #MeToo movement and his allegations, in particular, asking, "You've been very much caught up in all the allegations of sexual harassment, you had a rape allegation against you and I wonder how you deal with all that?" Not sooner than Wark asked her question, Seagal removed his earpiece, stood up and slid out of the camera's view.

Allegations about Seagal's sexual assault surfaced in March by a woman who claims the actor raped her back in the 90s. Another woman came forward and said Seagal assaulted her back in 2002. Seagal has denied the allegations and the Los Angeles District Attorney's office concluded that the cases were well past the statute of limitations.
