The New England Patriots are known to accept players with a checkered past and socialize them into the "Patriot way." The Pats continued with this line of thinking after landing troubled wide receiver Josh Gordon from the Cleveland Browns on Monday, September 17.
Reports came down on Saturday night of the Browns' intention to release Gordon by Monday afternoon. Soon after news broke of Cleveland's intent, a number of teams began calling to inquire about Gordon. By Monday, reports came in regarding a potential deal between New England and Cleveland which ESPN's Adam Schefter reported was worth a "late-round pick." The full details haven't been disclosed regarding the deal but the irony of trade can be found in New England releasing WR Corey Coleman who played for the Browns last season as well.
