The Junior Basketball Association (JBA) is being called out by a former player on its Los Angeles squad claiming that he wasn't paid the full amount of his contract. Brandon Phillips told Per Cycle Media's Thomas Duffy that he was only paid about a third of his contract. Not to mention that he paid for all his checked luggage during the season. Phillips said when he reached out to the league officials about his last two paychecks, he's gotten no response.

He tweeted that he, "can provide screenshots of players on my team who also got cut backing up my statements." Duffy pointed out via Twitter that Phillips had given up his NCAA eligibility for roughly $1000 salary. The JBA is supposed to pay players $3,000 per month and have a revenue-share system in place for players to get a 60% return on their jersey sales.

Phillips was cut by the LA Ballers midseason to free up a roster spot for LiAngelo Ball.
