Franklin was reportedly told a week ago by doctors that her health was declining, and TMZ says doctors told her family that Monday (August 13) is the day "Aretha will pass."


According to reports, Aretha Franklin, 76, is "gravely ill" and surrounded by family at a Detroit hospital. While not many details are known about the situation, Franklin is said to be in serious condition.
