The Twitter spat between Nicki Minaj and Safaree yesterday (Aug 15) revealed some intense details about how toxic their relationship was at certain points. One of the major revelations was Safaree recalling the time Nicki cut him with a knife. Well according to TMZ's Van Lathan, there's actual video footage of Nicki chasing Safaree with a knife.
While appearing on Power 106 in LA, Lathan said:
“We’ve actually seen the video here at TMZ, back in 2014, that shows Nicki chasing Safaree with a knife, [...] We should say, don’t know what happened after that. Couples get into it, sometimes things get heated. There’s no reason why you should be chasing someone with a knife, but we don’t know if Nicki actually stabbed him with a knife.”
It's unclear if TMZ or Power 106 has the footage and if either platform is willing to show it. Van Lathan explained, however, that he doubts any legal issues to come from this saying, “If he wanted to press charges, he would have pressed them then.”
