Skinnyfromthe9 is currently in police custody, along with his father, brother, and another man from Newark. Skinny, real name David Alex Villegas, 22; his father, David Andres Villegas, 42; his brother, Joshua Villegas, 20, and Troy Warren, 28, of Newark each face charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault of a 21-year-old tri-state area man.
According to reports, Skinny and his brother coaxed the victim into thinking they were going on a trip but had his cell phone taken and beaten upon being picked up by the four men. The victim told police they were driving around for at least an hour while continuously beating him.
Skinnyfromthe9, his brother, father, and Warren are currently awaiting their detention hearings.
